Zoning Department

Ms. Laurie Pinney, Zoning Inspector and Director of Planning.
The Zoning Inspector and Director of Planning is responsible to ensure the protection of health, safety and welfare of those living and working in Richfield Township. Most zoning regulations are a matter of common sense and help to make sure that people use their property in such a way that it is not detrimental to those living in the same area or the Township as a whole. To view the regulations please click on our link: Richfield Township Zoning Regulations. For any questions or clarification regarding the regulations, please contact Ms. Pinney.
Further, zoning helps to maintain property values and ensures the orderly growth and development while preserving the character of Richfield Township. The Richfield Township Comprehensive Land Use Plan was approved and adopted by the Board of Trustees, December 1, 2011 to maintain these visions and values. EXHIBITS FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Almost all construction, from fences, decks, homes to businesses require a zoning permit. As a general guide, a brief outline is provided below outlining requirements. As always for questions or clarification, please call or email Ms. Pinney.
