The Richfield Township Trustee Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm on
January 9, 2003
Roll Call: Trustees: Present – Shano Cica-Mraz, Laurie Gilmore, Robert Hooper
Clerk/Treasurer: Mark Uhrich
Others present: Linda Bowmer-Office Administrator, Laurie Pinney – Zoning
Inspector
Ms. Gilmore made a motion to enter in to executive session at 6:00 p.m. to
discuss employment matters; seconded by Mr. Hooper motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Hooper made a motion to end the executive session at 7:55 p.m. seconded by
Ms. Mraz; motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Cica-Mraz made a motion to approve the December 9, 2002 Regular Trustee and
the December 20, 2002 Special Trustee meeting minutes seconded by Ms. Gilmore;
motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Cica-Mraz made a motion to approve warrant report 7406 to 7519 seconded by
Mr. Hooper; motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Mraz made a motion to approve the Clerk’s request for fund transfers
seconded by Mr. Hooper, motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Mraz made a motion to allow Richfield Township to use and contract, time and
materials cost, snowplowing services with the Village of Richfield on as / if
needed basis, seconded by Ms. Gilmore, motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Gilmore made a motion to appoint Ms. Mraz as Chairperson of the Richfield
Board of Trustees, seconded by Mr. Hooper, motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Gilmore made a motion to appoint Mr. Hooper as Vice Chairperson of the
Richfield Board of Trustees, seconded by Ms. Mraz, motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Mraz reads resolution 01-2003.
Ms. Mraz made a motion to approve Resolution 01-2003 with revised changes,
seconded by Mr. Hooper, motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Pinney reported that the next BZA meeting is scheduled for January 20 and
the Zoning Commission is scheduled to meet February 6.
Ms. Mraz thanked Mr. Dennis Maslar and Mr. Dan Emmett for their past
participation with Zoning Commission and BZA, respectively.
Ms. Mraz welcomed all new members of the Rising Valley Park Board, Zoning
Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.
PUBLIC FORUM
Mr. Bob Luther, 5287 Alger Road, Wanted to know who was appointed RVP secretary
and thought the road crews looked unprofessional in summer months with cut-off
or tank top tee shirts.
Ms. Mraz – RVP Board appoints their secretary and that Ms. Jan Buzzelli is the
secretary. We’ll take the dress code comment in to consideration.
Ms. Mraz made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:23 p.m. seconded by Mr.
Hooper; motion carried unanimously.
