SPECIAL TRUSTEE MEETING
JULY 27, 2004
The Richfield Township Special Trustee Meeting was called to order at 1.05pm on
July 27, 2004.
Roll call: Trustees present: Shano Cica-Mraz, David Wyatt and Laurie Gilmore
Township Administrator: Linda Bowmer
In the absence of the Clerk, Ms. Bowmer took the minutes. After discussion of
senior programs, it was agreed that the Township would continue the snow plowing
for seniors at a charge of $30 for the season. Ms. Bowmer will place an ad in
the September issue of the Richfield Times to notify residents of the plowing
and the Healthwatch medical alert program. Ms. Mraz made a motion to accept
Resolution # 07-2004 authorizing Laurie Peters Gilmore to submit project
applications for 2005 Community Development Block Grants to help fund these
senior programs, seconded by Mr. Wyatt. The Resolution was unanimously adopted.
The Township has now received 3 quotes for the culvert replacement on Newton
Road. Mr. Wyatt made a motion to hire Kelcorp Construction, the lowest
bidder, for a price not to exceed $13,520.00, seconded by Ms. Mraz, motion
passed unanimously. Kelcorp plans to do the work either August 4th or 5th,
but the road should only be closed one day. It was agreed that Ms. Bowmer would
notify Village safety forces and write a letter notifying the 3 residents and
the Operating Engineers located west of the culvert on Newton Road. The Rising
Valley Park gate will be opened the day of construction to allow these residents
access via Oviatt Road.
Ms Mraz made a motion to hire Party Animals to supply a dunk tank and
interactive games and inflatables for Community Day at a cost not to exceed
$4,510.00, seconded by Ms Gilmore, motion pass unanimously.
It was agreed that Ms Bowmer would get prices and layout for “Trash Collection
Delayed One Day Due To Holiday’ signs to notify residents of a change in the
trash pickup schedule. This could possibly be done in conjunction with the
Village.
Ms. Mraz made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 1.55 pm, seconded by Mr.
Wyatt; motion carried unanimously.
