Richfield Township Trustees Meeting

The Richfield Township Trustees met for a regular meeting on April 19, 2007. The meeting was called to order at 1:12 p.m. with the following in attendance:

David Wyatt, Trustee Chairman
Laurie Peters Gilmore, Trustee
Linda Bowmer, Administrator
Laurie Pinney, Zoning Inspector
John Slagter, Legal Council

A motion was made by Mr. Wyatt and seconded by Ms. Gilmore at 1:12 to go into executive session to discuss pending litigation related to zoning for the proposed Briarwood subdivision. The motion passed with unanimous approval.

Trustee Shano Cica-Mraz joined the meeting during the executive session.

A motion was made by Mr. Wyatt and seconded by Ms. Gilmore at 2:35 to go out of executive session and recess until the regular meeting, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. The motion passed with unanimous approval.

The regular meeting was re-opened at 3:05 p.m.

Ms. Pinney provided the Fiscal report. A motion was made by Ms. Gilmore and seconded by Mr. Wyatt to approve warrants # 3 & 12901 – 12964. The motion passed with unanimous approval.

The Parks report was provided by Mr. Wyatt. The soccer fields at Rising Valley Park are ready and in use.

The Roads report was provided by Ms. Gilmore. Road Foreman Jerry Schall has spoken with Broadview Heights about paving and storm water work on Boston Road. They are planning on a three-way joint application for grant funding do complete the project in two to three years.

Mr. Wyatt reported that insurance rates have declined and made a motion to approve the spending of $13,139 for property and liability insurance, which will renew the policy through April, 2008. The motion was seconded by Ms. Gilmore and received unanimous approval.

Ms. Bowmer announced that Project Pride will be held on April 28 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

May Trustee regular meetings will be on May 10 at 1:30, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. and a special meeting for the purpose of an executive session will be held on May 17 at 6:30 p.m.

A motion was made by Mr. Wyatt and seconded by Ms. Gilmore to adjourn at 3:30 p.m. The motion received unanimous approval.
