Richfield Township Trustees Meeting

The Richfield Township Trustees met for their regular meeting on June 21, 2007. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following in attendance:

David Wyatt, Trustee Chairman
Laurie Peters Gilmore, Trustee
Laurie Pinney, Zoning Inspector
Linda Bowmer, Township Administrator

A motion was made by Mr. Wyatt and seconded by Ms. Gilmore to approve Resolution 12-2007authorizing Richfield Township to pick up the statutorily required contribution to the public employed retirement system of Ohio for the employees of the Township pursuant to IRC Section 414(H)(2). The motion passed unanimously by those in attendance.

Ms. Pinney provided the Zoning report, with information on the continuance of Board of Zoning Appeals Case 549-07 to the July 16 meeting.

Mr. Wyatt provided the Parks report. The soccer season is now over and baseball is open.

Ms. Gilmore provided the Roads report. The next brush chipping is scheduled for July 9. The road crew was doing crack-sealing this week.

Ms. Bowmer provided the Administration report. The Akron Zoo has provided free tickets for community days, which are all Mondays in August.

A motion was made by Mr. Wyatt and seconded by Ms. Gilmore to appoint Natalie Grubb as a full member to the Board of Zoning Appeals, to take the place of resigning member Ingolf Nitsch. The motion passed with unanimous approval of those in attendance.

Zoning Commission member John Myers was in attendance to ask question about the new septic rules.

A motion was made by Mr. Wyatt and seconded by Ms. Gilmore to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.. The motion was approved by those in attendance.
