RESOLUTION #25-2001

A RESOLUTION OF THE RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO SELL A POLICE VEHICLE AND CERTAIN EQUIPMENT DETERMINED TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD AND TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE SALE OF SURPLUS POLICE PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD

WHEREAS, the Township has declared 5 police vehicles ("Police Vehicles") and certain police equipment ("Police Equipment") to be no longer needed as a result of the police services being performed by the Village of Richfield, and;

WHEREAS, the Township Trustees have declared certain Police Vehicles and Police Equipment to be no longer needed and are surplus property, and;

WHEREAS, the Township hired an appraiser to determine the value of each separate Police Vehicle and the Police Equipment, and;

WHEREAS, the Township has the authority to directly negotiate, enter into and sell the property to the Village of Richfield pursuant to R.C. 505.101.,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio,

1.    That the Township sell the 2001 Chevrolet Impala, vehicle identification number 2GIWF52K019233414 to the Village of Richfield for the amount of $12,839.98, which would include all items set forth in Exhibit "A", except for the radios which will not be included in the sale, and

2.    That the Office Administrator, Township Legal Counsel, and/or Township Trustees may enter into negotiations with the Village of Richfield and other qualified governmental entities, as they deem necessary, if any, for the sale of the Police Vehicles and Police Equipment that have been determined to be surplus property by the Township Trustees, which are identified in Exhibit "B" attached hereto.
