RESOLUTION #10-2002

APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT SENIOR CITIZEN ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND
RESTORATION OF FELLOWSHIP HALL & OLD TOWN HALL

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, has determined a need to continue programs to assist our senior citizens and handicapped residents with low and moderate incomes, and

WHEREAS, these groups would benefit from programs of winter snow plowing of driveways and an emergency medical alert systems, and

WHEREAS, these programs would allow our elderly and handicapped population to maintain their independence and remain in their existing homes;

WHEREAS, Fellowship Hall and Old Town Hall are of significant historic value and are an asset to the community, and

WHEREAS, the Trustees wish to continue in their efforts to restore these historic properties so residents of Richfield can utilize them,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Township Trustees hereby authorizes Trustee Laurie Peters Gilmore to submit Project Applications for the 29th year Community Development Block Grant and to execute contract for this project.
