RESOLUTION #03 –2003

The Richfield Township Board of Trustees declares it necessary to submit to the electors of the unincorporated area of Richfield Township the question of levying a tax outside the 10 mill limitation and requests the Summit County Fiscal Officer to certify to the Richfield Township Board of Trustees the total current tax valuation of the unincorporated area of the Township and the dollar amount of the revenue that would be generated by 2.72 mills. The tax will be for the purposes of fire/EMS protection, will be a replacement of an existing 2.72 mill levy, and is authorized under Sections 5705.19(I) and 5705.192, Revised Code. This levy would commence in the 2003 tax year with the first collection in 2004.
