RESOLUTION #03-2004

APPROVAL TO ACCEPT RECYCLE OHIO GRANT FROM
SUMMIT/AKRON SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, has determined a need to increase the awareness and promote the benefits of recycling, and

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, wish to distribute newsletters on recycling and provide informative and educational pamphlets to residents emphasizing the need to recycle, and

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, have made the decision to increase their curbside recycling program from twice a month to weekly,

WHEREAS, the Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority Recycle Ohio Grant program is available to Townships to encourage increased recycling and source reduction,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Township Trustees hereby authorizes Trustee Laurie Peters Gilmore to execute contracts for this community grant.
