RESOLUTION #10-2005

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWNSHIP OF RICHFIELD TO ENTER
INTO A JOINT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT AGREEMENT
WITH THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD

WHEREAS, the Township of Richfield (the “Township”) and the Village of Richfield (the “Village”) intend to enter into an Agreement for the creation of a Joint Economic Development District (the “JEDD Agreement”), under Section 715.72 to 715.81 of the Ohio Revised Code; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of creating the JEDD is to facilitate economic development, to create or preserve jobs and economic opportunities, and to improve the economic welfare of the people of the Township and the Village; and

WHEREAS, the Township and Village have, as a mutual goal, the responsible development of the JEDD so as to protect the interest of the residents of the Township and Village and provide maximum benefit to the Township and Village and their respective residents.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, hereby authorize the Township of Richfield to enter into a Joint Economic Development District Agreement with the Village of Richfield, Summit County, Ohio.

FURTHER, RESOLVED, that any Member of the Board of Trustees, the Township Clerk or the Township Office Administrator are hereby authorized to execute any and all other documents necessary to effectuate the purposes of this Resolution.
