RESOLUTION #08-2005

A RESOLUTION OF THE RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES AUTHORIZING BUCKINGHAM, DOOLITTLE & BURROUGHS, LLP TO RETAIN A CONSULTING EXPERT TO ASSIST SPECIAL COUNSEL AND THE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES IN REVIEWING LEGAL ISSUES RELATING TO THE PROPOSED BRIARWOOD DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, a residential development known as Briarwood (the “Development”) has been proposed to be built in Richfield Township, which Development is the subject of prior litigation and threatened litigation; and

WHEREAS, proposed plans and specifications for the Development have been submitted to the Township Trustees as part of an attempt to resolve legal claims and disputes relating to the Development; and

WHEREAS, the law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP serves as special counsel to Richfield Township with respect to the Development; and

WHEREAS, the Township Trustees desire that Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP retain one or more consulting experts to provide consulting services to assist special counsel and the Township Trustees in their review of the Development, for an amount not to exceed $10,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, by the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, that Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP is authorized to retain one or more consulting experts to provide consulting services to assist special counsel and the Township Trustees in their review of the Development, for an amount not to exceed $10,000.
