RESOLUTION #10-2006

APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT SENIOR CITIZEN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Richfield Township, Summit County, Ohio, has determined a need to continue this program to assist our senior citizens and handicapped residents with low and moderate incomes, and

WHEREAS, these groups would benefit from a program of an emergency medical alert system, and

WHEREAS, this program would allow our elderly and handicapped population to maintain their independence and remain in their existing homes;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Township Trustees hereby authorizes Trustee Laurie Peters Gilmore to submit a Project Application for the 2007 Community Development Block Grant and to execute a contract for this project.
