RESOLUTION #03 –2007

The Richfield Township Board of Trustees declares it necessary to submit to the electors of Richfield Township the question of levying a tax outside the 10 mil limitation and requests the Summit County Fiscal Officer to certify to the taxing authority the total current tax valuation of the district and the dollar amount of the revenue that would be generated by 1.3 mills. The tax, which will be placed before the electorate on May 8, 2007, will be for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of roads and bridges and will be a replacement with a reduction of an existing 1.5 mill levy. This replacement levy would commence in the 2007 tax year with the first collection in 2008.
