RESOLUTION #08-2008 
 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATOR

TO APPLY FOR OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION SCIP / LTIP FUNDS FOR WORK ON WHITETHORN CIRCLE IN RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP 

WHEREAS, Richfield Township’s Road Foreman has determined that the drainage pipe running under Whitethorn Circle is collapsing, and 

WHEREAS, The Ohio Public Works Commission created SCIP & LTIP to provide financial assistance to local communities for the improvement of their basic infrastructure systems, and 

WHEREAS, The County Engineer’s Office have reviewed the existing drain pipe, evaluated the problem, and prepared specifications to upgrade or improve the drainage system, and 

WHEREAS, the County Engineer’s Office has determined the total cost of the project to be $60,500.  

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 

Township Administrator Linda Bowmer is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of Richfield Township, to apply for Ohio Public Works Commission SCIP/LTIP funds. 

It is proposed that the Township do a 50% local share / 50% Ohio Public Works Commission split on this project with either LTIP/SCIP funds. 

It is found and determined that all formal actions by the Board of Township Trustees concerning and relating to the adoption of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of the Board of Township Trustees and that all deliberations of the Board of Township Trustees, and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.

Certificate of Availability of Funds

            The undersigned  Fiscal Officer of the Township of Richfield, Summit County, Ohio, certifies,  that the amount required to meet the obligations of the Township under this Agreement, in the fiscal year ending December 31, 2008, has been lawfully appropriated for that purpose and is in the treasury or in the process of collection to the credit of an appropriate fund, free from any previous encumbrances.
